Liability for Links
With its judgment pronounced on 12th September 1999 - 312 O 85/99 'Liability for Links’ - the Hamburg Regional Court has decided that a website operator is also responsible for the contents of links placed on its website. According to the Regional Court, said liability can only be averted by way of a declaration of explicit dissociation from the contents of these links.
